Yet, some motherboards have electrical interference on 1 or all usb ports. I would guess sound card, but if you get a good USB mic, it basically has it's own build in sound card for the mic. If people are having a hard time hearing you, then that's either your mic, or sound card.
VA has no control over what other software you're running, or if you have a faulty sound card, or usb port. There is a issue with your system, I, and a great many other people use VA all the time with no issue. I just wanted to add, it's not VoiceAttack you're having a problem with. I really am getting sick to death of this unreliable s/w, if mic volume really is the key then why isn't there some sort of in program vol test/level setting?Īnd is it possible to have some sort of in program audio quality assessment? I thought maybe (after turning it up yesterday for a player), that cranking it up would help, but nope! It fell asleep again! On the rare occasions I speak to people they usually say I'm too quiet, so it's not like it's the mic vol is too high! I've also read that it could be a dodgy mike, well guess what, I changed mike (due to the old one's wire suddenly breaking up), and. This somehow altered the mic setting, ever since then I haven't been able to get VA to work reliably, no mater what mic setting I choose, low or high it grinds to a halt after about 20-30 mins, usually it dies more quickly if I'm quiet for a while, but just now it did it whilst I was constantly using it, in the middle of an extended battle!! (which VA dieing made a whole lot harder!) (Elite Dangerous). I was told windows needed to be retrained, I eventually did that & it worked well for a short time (a few months maybe?), then due to an unrelated problem I had to re-install OBS.
There has to be a (secondary) keyboard binding.Īfter you install the plugin in the streamdeck software, then there will be several new button types in the streamdeck software.Ĭhoose a button in the streamdeck software (drag and drop), then choose an Elite Dangerous function for that button (that must have a keyboard binding in Elite Dangerous!)Īnd then choose any pictures for that button.I've been struggling with this s/w for sometime now (over a year, I forget how long), I've had the same problem on & off all long (re title). Note that this plugin doesn't work if there is only a joystick/controller/mouse binding for a function.
The plugin can (optionally) automatically switch to a different profile, if the in-game state changes (e.g.
The only difference with the 'Hotkey' button is, that it gets the keyboard binding from the game.Įxample button images, like in above picture, can be found in the source code images directory on github. So, there is only one image and there is no game state feedback for these buttons. There is also a STATIC button type, that works the same as the streamdeck 'Hotkey' button type. when docked) then the image also won't change. If you press the relevant button on your keyboard or hotas, then the image on the stream deck will still change correctly. Elgato stream deck button plugin, that connects to elite dangerous, to get the status for 14 different toggle-buttons, 4 buttons to control the power distributor pips, 4 alarm buttons, 3 FSD related buttons, an FSS toggle button, a firegroup selection button and a generic limpet controller button.
